Known for its Disney-themed designs, the company has operated 60 stores in the USA that sell its products. Their gowns and dresses are also sold at more than 1,400 wholesale stores worldwide, including almost two dozen in the Philadelphia area. The bridal dress shop, in a busy strip mall across from the McDonald's on High Street, had a sign taped to the door that read "store closed".

Alfred Angelo has between 10,001 and 25,000 creditors, which appear to include municipalities, customers who made deposits, and landlords, according to its bankruptcy filing.
